Virtual Programming
Local's doors are closed for the time being due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We're leaning into the idea of being physically distant to stop the spread of the virus BUT that does not mean we need to be socially distant. We're offering programming to the youth in Devon, five days a week. We are also posting to our Instagram account with self-care tips, program updates and check-ins with the youth. We'll do our best to help the youth through this unprecedented time. Please feel free to send us feedback and ideas!

We'll use a number a different apps to reach the youth. We're new to a lot of this technology and we're sure you are too. Please message us if you have any questions or need help setting things up!
Instagram
Most of our communication with the youth comes through our Instagram page. We'll post mental health tips, programming updates and check-ins every day. You can download Instagram to your phone through the app store. Click here to see our Instagram page.
ZOOM
This app allows us to video chat with many different youth at the same time. It can be downloaded from the app store onto phones and tablets. It can also be used computers with webcams. Click here for more information.
NETFLIX PARTY
This app allows us to watch t.v. and movies online. It synchronizes video playback and has a group chat window so that we can connect while we're watching. It only works on computers with the Chrome browser. Click here for more information.
KAHOOT
Most of the the youth will be familiar with this program through their schools. It allows us to do themed trivia quizzes with the youth. We'll post links to the Kahoot on Instagram and Facebook on the day that we plan to do it. The youth must have access to both Zoom and an internet browser to participate. This would ideally be on two separate devices but they can toggle between window if needed. Click here for more information.

We will play silly multiplayer games with the youth using Jackbox Games. We'll post links to the game on Instagram and Facebook on the day that we plan to do it. The youth must have access to both Zoom and an internet browser to participate. This would ideally be on two separate devices but they can toggle between window if needed. MINECRAFT REALM
We have our own Minecraft realm! Send us a DM and we'll give the code. We want this to be a safe space for the youth to play Minecraft together so we will not give the code out to any youth that we don't already know. The realm works on PC, xBox and Switch but we can't get it to work with Play Station.
